UNSW ROBOCUP 2006

robodogsUNSW’s much-loved robodogs have scored second place in the world 4-Legged League of Robocup 2006, held in Germany.

The rUNSWift team of undergraduate students - Ryan Cassar, Enyang (Eric) Huang, Michael Lake, Andrew Owen and Oleg Sushkov - worked for six months to achieve this impressive result. (Read the article)

First human trial of antibacterial contact lens

Biotechnology company Biosignal Ltd and the Institute for Eye Research have received ethics approval for the first human clinical trial of an antibacterial extended-wear contact lens.

The ASX-listed company commercialises a novel anti-bacterial technology identified by UNSW researchers at the Centre for Marine Biofouling and Bioinnovation.The trial beginning on June 29 will compare the safety performance of an antibacterial contact lens to that of a standard contact lens.

Google Checkout Line

Google introduced Google Checkout online shopping and payment service Thursday, integrating the purchasing option with its search and advertising programs in a move that may threaten eBay’s PayPal service.

The service will display a special Google Checkout icon next to ads that show up from Google’s AdWords program. Consumers can visit the site, select the Google Checkout option when they make a purchase, and fill out their shipping and billing information.

Apparently how they do it its because there is a security hole in aspWeblinks script which make other people can use Remote SQL Injection to change the Admin Password.
