Good University Guide

UNSW has rated exceptionally well in the 2007 Good Universities Guide. The guide, a comprehensive handbook for anyone choosing a university course or campus, gave UNSW the maximum five-star rating for eight key performance indicators.UNSW was one of the strongest performers of all Australian universities. It achieved a top score in the following categories: student demand, graduate starting salaries, research grants, research intensivity, student-staff ratios, cultural diversity, gender balance and international enrolments.The Good University Guide, released annually, features detailed profiles of every university in Australia as well as other institutions offering tertiary level courses. These teaching institutions are ranked against a number of criteria in key performance areas, and individual courses at different tertiary institutions are also compared.

The guide describes UNSW as “one of the heavyweights of Australian higher education…offering an intense, rich tertiary experience”.
